The universe series emphasizes my view of the subconscious mind. Over the past year I have been increasingly focused on meditation and the impact this activity has on my mind, my reactions to others, and how I spend my energy.

With this series, I attempt to capture the clarity that mediation brings within view. The pieces, colors, and layers represent the world from within my mind; in that delicate moment of time when it comes into focus. The horizon line added to the teal images, gives us a place to land. The gold swirl images represent constant motion.

This series of monotypes is created using cold wax and oil paint on Stonehenge 300LB printmaking paper. Works are 10” x 10” framed to 15” x 15”.
